#1. “Mentally I’m Here” Carousel

At Casléna in Woodland Hills, their coastal cuisine slays with all of their instagram posts! Casléna, in Woodland Hills CA, markets to those who are young at heart with trendy posts and reels. This post specifically has a vintage vibe, showcasing a cocktail and some fries- because who wouldn’t want to end the night with that!

Mentally, I want to be here too! 🍸🍟

👉 Post Idea – Use the text overlay “Mentally I’m Here” over several images and videos, then post as a carousel.

#2.  Friends From A “Birds Eye View”

Porter Kitchen has stunning riverfront views, amazing dishes, and an unforgettable, sleek design both on and off of social media. Recently, Porter Kitchen posted a reel, using a birds-eye view, showcasing their delicious dishes and refreshing cocktails. This creative angle really helps them stand out and makes their food look even more irresistible.

It’s a feast for the eyes and taste buds! 👀👅

👉 Post Idea – Film a group of friends setting out their plates, cheers-ing, and enjoying their meal from a birds eye view.

#3. Merge Nature-Inspired Design With Your Menu

Here's a trip half way across the world, but The Nest in Kfar Yassine, Lebanon definitely needs to be talked about! The Nest uses graphic design to advertise one of their most known cocktails and it is absolutely genius! They pride themselves on ‘sunset drinks’ in which they used their drink and made a sunset out of it- embracing both deliciousness and uniqueness. The aesthetic and ambiance of their instagram makes me want to book a plane ticket there now!

I love and appreciate this post for its creativity and how it draws customers in! 🌅🍹

👉 Post Idea – Have your favorite graphic designer or artist create a work of art as your next post, merging photos of nature with your latest menu items.

#4. Take It To Go

Showing more of the small business side, Fratellos in New Jersey is an Italian deli that captures both what it means to combine family and food! On the small scale of things, restaurants that may be newer, with learning how to operate social media to bring customers in can be tricky, but Fratellos is nailing it! In this restaurant’s post, they kept it simple and classic by showcasing two of their most famous sandwiches on the beach!

Because who wouldn’t want to devour these on a nice beach day? I know I would! 🏖️🥪

👉 Post Idea – Take some an order to go and head to the beach, the park, or on a hike. Bonus points if you bring a few items for styling, like a picnic basket or bottle of wine.

#5. Get The Team Involved

Combining home-cooking with a restaurant view is what encompasses Summer Salt in New Jersey. This restaurant has such a fun family atmosphere with wanting to bring smiles to everyone's face through their fresh style cooking. Their instagram highlights the family who owns it, along with other workers to allow customers to feel a connection with not just the food, but the faces behind everyone who makes it. Specifically I love love love this post of having an excited cook waving out of their small establishment- allowing for customers to want to feel this same excitement!

What a cute and unique restaurant! 💖🦪

👉 Post Idea – Give your customers a behind the scenes look at the true heartbeat of your restaurant including the team, the owners, your regulars, and those in the community.

#6. POV Reel As A Regular

Now this post ate… and now I want to eat it too! Matunuck Oyster Bar posted a POV reel of what it would be like dining at their restaurant which is just brilliant! And to make it even better, they also used Tik Tok to have it posted across many platforms. When restaurants, or any business, uses multiple platforms to post, it can reach an even bigger audience.

Now I’m looking forward to cheers-ing champagne and cracking into lobster at this nautical establishment! 🥂🦞

👉 Post Idea – Film a POV (point of view) Reel that shows someone enjoying a meal at your restaurant. Walk them through each course, view, and cheers.

#7. FILM A SHORT REWATCHABLE REEL

Providing humor and mouth watering food is one way to attract followers! And Moon River Beef in Phoenix, Arizona did just that. They posted a reel of a steak cooking, that only lasts about two seconds, on replay, captioned “watch this delicious steak 1 million times.” This unique reel allows for followers to watch the post on replay, further wanting them to go ahead and eat the steak themselves! This account really provides great jokes, and even better food, making their restaurant social media posts really stand out.

At this point, I think I’m at about 100 times, but soon enough I’ll reach a million! 🥩🤤

👉 Post Idea – Film a short one second Reel that can be watched on repeat. Then, add a playful text overlay to your Reel that invites followers to watch it a million (or more) times.

#8. Simple Motions As A GIF

Now that my mouth is watering, let's talk about how the 360 Brunch House nailed their reel. In this, they poured syrup over waffles and lamb chops, replaying over and over. Not only does their account consist of many eye-catching reels, but also they have a really unique way of posting their food in a ‘magazine type style.’ Their use of graphics and reels, with bright vibrant posts, really allows for their account to stand out from others!

Their creativity makes every meal picture perfect- well until I’m able to get my hands on it! 📸 🧇

👉 Post Idea – Use burst mode on your iPhone to take multiple high-speed photos, then edit them into a GIF. We recommend a simple motion like pouring syrup onto a plate or adding a garnish to a latte.

#9. Highlight The Menu

For being a brand new restaurant, it is such a smart approach that 4 SHORE in Long Beach, California took with making reels that show off not only their food and cocktails, but also their atmosphere too. They do a really great job of showing off everything that they're proud of. In this 10 second reel, they were able to capture the inside and outside of their restaurant, making various cocktails, multiple different entrees, along with desserts.

If anyone came across this reel, they would be able to know what this restaurant is all about and book a reservation in a heartbeat! 👏

👉 Post Idea – Edit together 20-30 short clips of many menu items, following the experience from “first impression” and cocktails, to entree and dessert. This works especially well for tasting menus or seasonal menu announcements.

#10. “Family Style” Tablescape

Because who isn't always craving a big bowl of pasta? Well if you're not, then stay far away from La Casa Pasta’s Instagram because your stomach will be growling in two seconds! In this post, they really captured all of the food that makes them who they are! Various dishes of pasta, with all types of yummy sides. Their marketing game is on point, keeping their posts authentic and mouth watering!

La Casa Pasta’s instagram is all about eating with your eyes! YUM! 👀🍝

👉 Post Idea – Arrange 10-12 dishes on a table, paying extra attention to the edges and corners of your shot. Bonus points if you set out each dish one at a time, taking a photo in between each, to edit into a GIF.
